Don't spoil Koss too much. Or he'll start sneaking in that Heal Party build he's been eying.

good gods bmp weapons in the hom would be the end of my respect for it. That's like allowing any white non max item in there. If any weapons should be added, it should be torment weapons, although I do see why they made it destroyer weapons only (easy to code for whatever bonus is in gw2, if there's only 1 weapon set they need to code for) Not that I like it, but I understand it. Still holding out for torment tho

the tyranny of the minority....those who have completed their halls will cry wolf and Q_Q if all of a sudden GW actually did what it says it does and "stand for the casual player".

And some people will probably say FoW is ugly, and they have a right to that, so why the heck not allow them to display 1.5K armor?
About the same for me: I prefer my FoW/Asuran/15k Canthan and FoW/15k Luxon necro combos over the full FoW armor... and the destroyer weapons are pretty ugly IMHO. I'd rather have my Gloom Shield, my Greater Guardian Spear (albeit purple x]...) and my Legendary Sword up there than the Destroyer stuff I won't by because I just don't like them.

So until then my weapon monument will remain empty.

The HoM only takes sets, and "Dwarven armor" isn't a set. You should have noticed that when each piece had a different name on it (unlike in sets where they are all the same).

Which makes me wonder why they didn't make it a full set? The question was probably asked and answered before though >_>... and when you think about this, they made the Silver Eagle warrior armor to be put up in HoM (which IMHO was a smart move), deciding it was a set. Therefore, why not the Dwarven set? Just because of the part names? >_>.

I have no clue why exactly they chose to do it that way, I'm only relaying the facts.

Silver Eagle armor was created as a set, separate from "Dwarven armor" and they didn't want to waste the work they had put into coding it.

My POV on the subject is probably when GW 2 comes out, they will update HoM during and afterwards. So they know which weapons they can create on the new engine and which they cannot. I think the destroyer weapons are pretty much a test. Furthermore, A-net has a nasty habit of putting in things at the last minute. They procrastinate like no tomorrow, on things to come in the near future.

Yeah I know what you mean, I was aware of that :P. Had a blank moment about the Silver Eagle made as a set at first.

I also remember how some Dwarven "sets" are missing parts, such as the ranger armor (no gloves) while the necro, IIRC, has it all). Probably due to this...

I wont be buying GW2, Anet has lost me as a customer. But...why dont they just let the player decide what he/she would like to enshrine. A trash can worthy destroyer sword goes in but my req 7 15^50 Flamberge and Longword cant? I mean...u cant put a req 8 15^50 Crystalline in? Anet fails

As I understand it, HoM doesn't transfer anything per se and the relation between an enshrined GW1 item/achievement and the eventual GW2 benefit might be very tenuous. Hence, if you plop in a destroyer sword in GW1 it is not necessarily the case that your descendant in GW2 will claim the same ugly stick with the very same stats. Think of it more like the preorder bonus items of GW1, with the difference that you'll be able to choose which types of equipment to unlock. Like, there will be a bonus sword with as of yet unknown stats and skin in GW2 for which you can 'buy' the unlock by getting a destroyer sword to your monument. Just think of it. Enshrining Jora will not provide you a blonde buxom bear hero in GW2 if there are no heroes in the entire game to start with. I seriously doubt that ANet will tailor a custom version of every GW1 elite armor for every GW2 race just so that your green hentai fairy descendants can prance around in Kurzick fishnet stockings. Miniatures might have a chance of getting transferred verbatim since they don't interfere with game mechanics (or by and large with anything else either).

There's just one piece of equipment that has universal utility, and that's the shield. For all the rest I will wait and see until we know how it works (or doesn't).

pft if ppl get to put inscribable trash into their hom i should be able to put my r7 15>50's and tyrian crystallines in there. if that happens, im sure others will argue for more worthless junk to get put into there. notice the slippery slope situation?

Besides the ability to put in what ever you wish.

I would be a be happier if the stuff you put in could actually be seen, my destroyer staff looks like a toothpick because it is scaled down so small

statues are big, minipets are correct size, armor is correct size, weapons are about 1/3 of their full size so it only makes the destroyer stuff look even more ugly as you can't see the animations or anything on them.

no on torment weapons, 2 of the biggest exploits in the game revolved around DOA.

greens yeah, heck there should be a title for collecting every single green in the game.

I totally agree. I worked really hard to get the two tormented weapons I have. I've read a lot of complaining that they should not be allowed because of the exploiting that went on. My message to Gaile is this, just because some individuals decided to cheat that does not mean that all of us who worked really hard to legitimately obtain a tormented weapon(s) should not be allowed at some point to put them in our HOM. Judging by Anet's care of the game I believe they will listen and consider this request that many people have made. It may or may not happen at some point but I don't believe Anet will listen to what I would characterize as 'sour grapes' by some people simply because they have not put in the time and effort to obtain a tormented weapon(s).

It has been stated many many many many many times now what people want. IF Anet listens we will get it, if not then we wont.

What people have asked for since the begining was a two tyred system, one level for destroyer weapons that grant us an "unlock" in GW2 and a second tyre for any weapons we chose to put on display.

Who would get more than one of any destroyer weapon, besides shields, as they have tac/str, on one character if HoM didn't exist?

Someone who really likes destroyer weapons? But I wouldn't think of anyone who actually would, as I would be more concerned in their taste of weapon skins and art. Really, Anet having HoM restricting any weapon is bad. The only requirement it should have, is to have max damage.
